Yes, it’s album release day for Radio Sketches 4 – Lately In The Garden.
This darker, more wistful album is the fourth in the Radio Sketches series, following Radio Sketches (2021), Radio Sketches 2 – The Death of Stars (2022) and Radio Sketches The Third (2023).
Like the previous instalments, Lately In The Garden is a collection of songs written in collaboration with my esteemed fellow Icecream Hand, Douglas Lee Robertson, for Jon Von Goes’ weekly 3RRR radio show.
The abundance of riches that come from having to supply a song every week leads to the luxury of siphoning the best ones off into different camps. These more moody, introspective yet optimistic songs felt like they deserved to come together on one record.
